Q. Who is the underlying carrier for Covista?

A. All customers are provisioned to Covista Communications.

Q. Does Covista offer calling cards?

A. Yes. The rate is currently 10¢ per minute.

Q. Does Covista credit switching fees?

A. Covista Communications will credit switching fees for BUSINESS CUSTOMERS ONLY. Fax a copy of your local bill containing the charges to Customer Service at 1-888-970-7700 for a credit of up to $10 per line. The credit will appear on you next Covista bill.

Q. How long will it take to switch my long distance service ?

A. It takes 5-7 business days from the time your order is verified.

Q. How will I know if I'm switched to Covista?

A. Just call  1-888-526-0202

Q. Should I tell my phone company about the service change?

A. No. Covista will notify your local carrier to make the change.

Q. What do I do if I miss my verification call?

A. Just call 1-888-526-0202 and follow the steps to verify your order.

Q. What are the Covista billing options?

A. Covista is a direct-billed service, which means customers will receive a separate statement each month for their service.

Q. What are the billing increments?

A. The length of your calls are measured (and billed) in 6 second increments.

Q. Under what name will the charges appear on my phone bill?

A. Customers will receive a separate statement directly from Covista.

Q. What are Covista PICC and USF fees?

A. The FCC imposed PICC fee is $4.31 per Business line. Residential lines will not be charged a PICC fee. The FCC imposed USF (Universal Service Fund) of 8.70% will be charged on all interstate and international calls. There is also a Carrier Recovery Charge fee of a $.99 monthly. This surcharge will be assessed 99¢ per account per month in order to recover costs the Company incurs with regard to TeleRelay service, National Number Portability and Federal Regulatory fees. This surcharge will appear as a separate line item on your invoice.

Q. What is the Monthly Service Charge?

A. No monthly billing fee if you sign up for AUTOPAY billing option or if your bill is over $20.00 each month. (NOTE: $1.99 billing fee is charged when your bill is under $20.00 for all non-Autopay customers.)
